This course provides students with an opportunity to explore key aspects of occupational therapy in greater depth, in preparation for becoming a professional. The course will focus on specific areas of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are relevant to occupational therapy in a range of settings. Topics covered will include professional reasoning, evidence based practice, negotiating complex practice situations, legal, ethical and safe approaches to working with individuals, communities and populations with complex needs. Pre-requisite: 3322AHS Occupation, Health and Participation - Communities and Populations, 3323AHS: Research for Contemporary Health Practice or 6309AHS_P2 Dissertation Part 2; 3326AHS Occupational Therapy Professional Practice and Education II. Co-requisite: 4315AHS Occupational Therapy Professional Practice and Education III.
