Introduction to Game Art (1111GFS)

This course introduces students to the essential game art creation skills and techniques required to participate effectively in a game production environment. Students will gain practical experience with the core stages of the 2D and 3D game art production pipeline to create their own 3D game assets. The course will provide students with an understanding of the tools and techniques used by the games industry to design, plan, model and texture game ready assets. By completing this course students will have acquired the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively communicate visual style and produce 3D content for use in real-time game engines.
