This course is designed for the purpose of educating first year students in basic meteorology in the Australian region, informing them, as well as providing a sound knowledge base of weather systems, which not only impact on flight planning, but could compromise aviation safety. The online offering of this course is only available to 'professional entry' students. Those students should email the Program Officer, Aviation, at aviation@griffith.edu.au for permission to enrol. Incompatible with 1502BPS Atmospheric Science; 2002AVN Atmospheric Science; 1102AVN Atmospheric Science. There are no prerequisites for this course.
