This course provides an intensive introduction to the materials, methods, concepts and concerns of contemporary visual arts practice in a multi-disciplinary matrix. Lecture content and studio exercises engage with visual thinking, concept development, material investigation and a diversity of practice as foundational catalysts for lifelong learning. The course initiates responsive approaches to arts practice and reflective learning in a rich, complex and diverse cultural environment. This course complements Studio Foundations 2.
