It has been identified that exposure to practical aspects of the aviation industry are an essential part of undergraduate courses. Though many students strive for final employment within the airline industry, it is the general aviation industry that will see most students beginning their aviation careers. Research with current/past students, staff and industry identified important skills that in some cases lack with new pilots within the general aviation industry.
