This course is an introduction into the photographic darkroom and analogue photographic processes and techniques. Students will gain an understanding into the fundamentals of photography such as time and duration, exposure and light and will explore how these controls are employed as a language within historical and contemporary portraiture. Students will develop skills in black and white film exposure, processing, and printing. Pre-requisite: RESTRICTED access for 1651 Bachelor of Visual Arts OR 1187 Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art OR 1189 Bachelor of Design OR 1567 Bachelor of Education
