Pre-clinical Dental Sciences 1 (1801DOH)

Pre-clinical Dental Sciences 1 develops knowledge and essential skills in Oral Biology and Communication Skills for Oral Health. Students will be supported in transitioning through university and will develop hand skills using 3D virtual reality haptic simulators. All year 1 courses must be successfully completed prior to proceeding to year 2 courses. First year students are not permitted to enroll in 2nd year (DOH or Non-DOH) courses until they have successfully completed all first year courses and are actively enrolled in second year. This is essential to avoid any potential timetable / assessment clashes, focus on the important foundational underpinning knowledge in first year courses, ensuring the program structure flows to their benefit as to not create gaps in their knowledge.
