This course facilitates an introductory understanding of, and transition into, teaching as a profession. It entails coursework and 10 days of professional experience placement in a school setting to bring to life the knowledge, themes and emergent understandings related to contemporary teaching and learning. To be eligible to attend the Professional Experience component of this course and to complete the course students must meet the mandatory Attendance and Engagement requirements (please refer to section 4.2 of the course profile for full details). Students should assume full responsibility to be aware of and comply with these expectations. All Professional Experience courses are designated courses for the purpose of exclusion; if you fail you are listed for exclusion from the program of studies. Please be aware that this course may not follow the standard academic calendar.
