Childhood: Early Years (2026HSV)

This course will provide students with an introduction to child welfare and well-being. Students will examine current socio-cultural, ecological, psychological, sociological and biological theories of child development and consider how different contexts shape a child's development and life trajectories. Students will also develop skills in critical analysis and interprofessional dialogue relating to current issues, professional responses, welfare practice and services for children birth to five and their families.
