This course will examine the institutional arrangements for planning whilst providing an introduction to planning law and administration. It will focus on the Queensland statutory planning arrangements but emphasise comparisons to interstate and overseas planning and management systems. This will include state planning policies; regional structure planning; strategic plans; development control plans; statutory town plans; and the development control process.
