This course provides the opportunity to develop and enhance your knowledge of group dynamics and facilitation and to work toward mastery of the skills required to apply that knowledge in practical situations. To assist with your skills development, this course adopts an active learning approach. Learning actively will provide you with the opportunity to develop both a theoretical understanding of group dynamics and a practical ability to work with groups. Note: Trimester 3 offering is restricted to students in external/distance Human Services and Social Work programs only. Pre-requisite: 80CP of first year HSV courses or equivalent, including 1008HSV Interpersonal Skills (requirement waived for students enrolled in the 1095 and 1394 programs).
