UG Business Internship II (3000GBS)

This 20CP elective course is available to all undergraduate Griffith Business School students from a range of disciplines. The course is designed to facilitate a successful transition from academic life to employment by providing opportunities to apply what you have learnt at university to a workplace setting. A second but equally important feature of this course is the focus on raising awareness of your own personal attributes and the professional skills that are needed to gain and sustain employment, build a successful career, and contribute to individuals, communities and organisations across all sectors in ways that produce prosperous, equitable and sustainable futures. You will participate in a task, activity or project-based internship in a face-to-face, virtual/online or blended mode. While all internship experiences afford opportunities to develop and enhance your employability skills, virtual/online experiences open up possibilities to work with small and medium enterprises, business, government and community organisations in locations outside of South-East Queensland (e.g., regional and remote areas of Australia and other capital cities). This course is not available for credit based on prior studies or external activities. Prerequisite: Students must have completed a minimum of half of their degree program (a minimum of 120 credit points for a single degree and 160 credit points for a double degree) before trimester commencement. For students in the B Com/B Bus degree program, the completed courses must include 60 credit points of foundation courses and 20 credit points of courses in the Commerce major.
