This course introduces students to the value systems underpinning human/community services (eg social justice, rights, consumerism, social change) and the key ethics principles, practices and dilemmas which face workers employed in human service delivery systems. It also allows students to examine professional issues pertinent to work in their chosen field. Pre-requisite: 160CP of HSV Courses or equivalent (requirement waived for students enrolled in the 1548 program) NOTE: ONLINE OFFERING: Please be aware that online learning is different to learning on campus. Depending on the structure of the course, you may have access to the same content and resources as on campus students. You will not have separate tutorials or lecture slides as this content is already represented on your Learning@Griffith course site. Online learning requires that you self pace through the content, under weekly direction from your teaching staff, which means that you need to take responsibility for your learning in a different way.
