Fitness Practicum II follows 3011AHS Fitness Practicum I and provides Sport Development and Exercise Science students with the skills required to design and deliver exercise science programs for low risk individuals and (in small groups) in a variety of indoor and outdoor fitness environments. Particular attention will be given to working with low risk clients in both predictable and unpredictable circumstances; developing, conducting and evaluating long term period fitness plans and the performance of individual clients; undertaking basic dynamic postural screening using applied biomechanics; applying teaching methods and instructional styles; and supervising and training other fitness staff. Prerequisite: 3011AHS Fitness Practicum I. Course is only available to Bachelor of Sport Development (1493) or Bachelor of Sport Development/Bachelor of Business (1615) students and 3rd Year Bachelor of Exercise Science (1171) or 3rd year Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (1604).
