Community and Public Health Nutrition (3103AHS)

Community and public health nutritionists plan, implement and evaluate programs aimed at improving the nutritional health of communities and populations. The course will be delivered through lectures, tutorials and field work. Pebble pad may be used for elements in this course. Topics will include public health nutrition competencies, nutritional epidemiology, and monitoring of the food supply, and nutritional status in communities and populations. The course prepares students to meet the competencies required for the Community and Public Health Nutrition domain of practice. Pre-requisites: 2210AHS Nutrition, 2218MED Needs Assessment, Program Planning and Evaluation and 3104AHS Nutrition Education
