Nutrition Education will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, deliver and evaluate communication and education programs aimed at improving the dietary intake of groups and communities. The theory of behaviour change will form the basis for the course, and the main models will be covered. Students will participate in workshops to develop and implement nutrition education programs to the community and compile resources for use on Professional Placement and in their professional careers. The course prepares students to deliver education programs on all three types of professional placement. Pre-requisites: 2210AHS Nutrition, 2218MED Needs Assessment, Program Planning and Evaluation Co-requisites: 3101AHS Medical Nutrition Therapy 1
