Business Japanese 2 (3534LHS)

Business Japanese is designed to develop skills necessary for understanding Japanese business culture, manners, customs and protocol along with increased communicative command in Japanese. The ultimate goal for the course is to prepare students to work internationally or cross-culturally in a career related to Japan with confidence, at home or overseas after graduation. The course not only focuses on practical skills and language used (honorific language-keigo) in workplaces in a Japanese environment, but also promotes critical thinking and cultural awareness. The course builds on skills developed in 3533LAL Business Japanese 1 to apply them in work experience (WIL) in this semester. Note: the course is only offered at Nathan in odd numbered years, and even numbered years at the Gold Coast. The prerequisite is 3533LAL Business Japanese 1. Students cannot take the course unless they have taken and passed 3533LAL.
