Work Integrated Learning 3 (3801MED)

Provides students with their third practical exposure to operational life as a paramedic. Students will be placed on a six (6) week placement within an operational ambulance service as a third officer, rotating through a roster with an operational paramedic crew. Students will experience shift work which could include day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts and be exposed to the type of everyday work paramedics are faced with whilst on shift. Prerequisites: 2801MED Work Integrated Learning 2, and successfully completing the practical exam for 3810MED Mental Health Conditions in Paramedic Practice and 3811MED Major Incident Management in Paramedic Practice.
