This course introduces students to the practice field of Food Service Management (FSM). Students are placed in teams of two for a total of 20-days to develop their understanding of the role food service plays in the delivery of nutrition care in an institutional setting. Students will undertake a project aimed at making a quality improvement to the food service system. Students will be based in a setting under the supervision of an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Students will be evaluated against the Dietitians Australia (DA) National Competency Standards (2021). Pre-requisites: All Year 3 core courses Co-requisites: 4110AHS Medical Nutrition Therapy Practicum, 4112AHS Community and Public Health Nutrition Practicum
