The Griffith Graduate Teacher (4888EDN)

This course is focused on preparing for and demonstrating the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APSTs) at graduate stage, where there is a focus on collecting, synthesising, reflecting and appraising evidence of impact on student learning. This knowledge and evidence is then demonstrated through three tasks. The first is the Graduate Teacher Performance Task (GTPA); the second is the graduate stage supervised professional experience (QPERF PEx); the third is a Professional Learning Plan (PLP). Pre-requisite: All students must have successfully completed 3999EDN or 3232EDN or 3405EDN and have completed all other courses in their Bachelor of Education program apart from 4599EDN. Pre- or Co-requisite: Students should undertake 4599EDN in the same trimester as 4888EDN or have previously completed 4599EDN successfully. To be eligible to attend the Professional Experience component of this course and to complete the course students must demonstrate 80% Attendance and 100% Engagement (see 4.2 for conditions). All Professional Experience courses are designated courses for the purpose of exclusion; if you fail you are listed for exclusion from the program of studies.
