This course introduces general coordinate transformations using tensors, and the theory of physical symmetries using groups and their representations. Some of these key concepts are then applied in studying the physics of spacetime the general theory of relativity and Einstein's field equations. Advanced topics in the course may vary year to year. Pre-requisites: 2305NSC Quantum Mechanics, Relativity and Elementary Particles or equivalent; 2201NSC Linear Algebra & Differential Equations or equivalent
