Nutrition Care Process Placement (6110AHS)

This placement course introduces students to the practice field of medical nutrition therapy, applying the nutrition care process to patients and clients. Students spend a minimum of 50 working days in a hospital and/or other health care setting, delivering nutritional care to individuals and small groups. Students are placed under the supervision of field Accredited Practising Dietitians with a minimum of two years' experience. During the placement, students observe, practice and are evaluated on the delivery of dietetic care to individuals. Students will be evaluated against the Dietitians Australia (DA) National competencies for Dietitians in Australia. Co-Requisite: Must be enrolled in 6114AHS Food Systems Placement
