Food Systems Placement (6114AHS)

This course comprises of an 8-week project-based placement aimed at planning, implementing and/or evaluating a community nutrition program that considers the local food system to improve the health of groups and/or communities. Students will be evaluated against the Dietitians Australia National Competency Standards for Dietitians in Australia (2021). Pre-requisites: must have completed all of 6110AHS Nutrition Care Process Placement, 6114AHS Food Systems Placement OR must have completed all of 4111AHS Food Service Management Practicum, 4112AHS Community and Public Health Nutrition Practicum, 6110AHS Nutrition Care Process Placement. Co-requisites: must be enrolled in 6110AHS Nutrition Care Process Placement Incompatible: must not have completed 4113AHS Nutrition and Dietetics Internship AND must not have completed 4114AHS Food Systems Placement Other course requisites: All Year 3 core courses. In place of 6110AHS, students can complete 4110AHS. In place of 6114AHS, students can complete 4114AHS.
