This course has been designed to develop fundamental understanding of underpinning concepts, models, and theory in suicide prevention practice. This will include different approaches to prevention and intervention (including the client-helper relationship, uncovering suicidality and safety approaches for individuals with thoughts of suicide and suicidal behaviour). Different theoretical frameworks will be identified and critically appraised, and students will be encouraged to understand and apply related principles of suicide prevention Prerequisites: NIL Co-requisites: NIL Incompatible: NIL
