Catchment Ecology (7001ESC)

Catchment ecology explores ecology across spatial and temporal scales. From properties of water at the molecular level, to soil microbial processes to microbial and metazoan food webs to global ecological cycles, this course seeks to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the ecological processes within catchments and the need to consider these when planning or implementation catchment scale (or smaller scale) projects. There are no pre-requisites courses, but this course should be undertaken alongside 7301ESC Introduction to Catchment Processes.
