PG Business Internship I (7004GBS)

This 10CP elective course is available to all postgraduate Griffith Business School students from a range of disciplines. The course is designed to facilitate a successful transition from academic life to employment by providing opportunities to apply what you have learnt at university to a workplace setting. The prerequisite for this course is that all prospective interns must have completed half of their degree program at the time of enrolment. Additional multi-stream or discipline specific information is included throughout the course profile. Before commencing an internship, all students must be officially enrolled in the course as part of their Griffith degree program. This course is not available for credit based on prior studies or external activities. Prerequisites: At the time of enrolment, prospective Interns must have completed half of their degree program. Commencement in this course is not guaranteed and is dependent upon successfully meeting all pre-requisites, submitting a resume and cover letter, completing workplace online training modules, matching you to a host organisation and projects/activities at the discretion of the Course Convenor taking into consideration the preference expressed by students, and passing a formal interview. Students need to enrol early (at the end of the preceding trimester) to allow a sufficient amount of time to prepare and be placed with an organisation. Students who have not met requirements or are not successful in obtaining a placement by the start of trimester, will be asked to drop this course.
