Devising and communicating policy advice for decision-makers is an art and a science. Advisers must be capable of effectively supporting leaders in a range of different situations and contexts with judgement and foresight. This course will teach you to identify and describe various decision-making contexts, so you can deliver prudent advice in a range of scenarios. To ensure you can remain consistent and evidence-based, you'll also learn how to identify and evaluate appropriate analytical techniques that inform policy outcomes. You will be able to present persuasive arguments outlining the rationale underpinning your recommendations, which take into account the interests of groups, citizens and the needs of decision-makers. Recent trends in governance have created dilemmas for policy advisers, and this course will give you the ability to skillfully navigate them and deliver elegant, evidence-backed policy advice to leaders.
