This course focuses on the assessment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Students will be provided with models of effective history taking and interviewing strategies required for advanced clinical competence. Selection of physical examination techniques, analysis of clinical findings and diagnoses with a particular emphasis on Musculoskeletal injury and disease.This course will also explore processes of clinical information gathering and processing from the perspective of statistical repeatability, reliability, validity, sensitivity, and specificity. This course will be run externally with a period of intensive on-campus contact, consisting of two (2) weeks and will commence prior to Semester 1. During non-contact periods, students will be required to complete online tutorials and lectures as well as a series of self-directed learning tasks and assessment items.
