The course provides the opportunity for learning and experience on the requirements, responsibilities, and impact of effective leadership to those who will manage healthcare organisations as well as in aged and social care services. The course aims to improve leadership capability through understanding the theory and practice of leadership. The course is designed to focus on leadership traits, behaviours, skills, competencies, and opportunities for people with different roles and responsibilities, and working in different teams, units, and organisations, now and in the future. The course enables development of motivation and influencing capabilities that are relevant in creating positive outcomes in health care. Students can examine and enhance their own individual leadership styles and approaches in nurturing culture and capability towards high performing teams and organisations.
