This course is an elective for MBA students. The aim of the course is to enable MBA students to develop their understanding of doing business in the Asia-Pacific region. This course typically involves a mandatory week long study tour to a partner university in the Asia-Pacific Region. The study tour is a pre-arranged schedule agreed by Griffith University, the MBA Program Director and the partner university. On the study tour, the cohort of students will partake in a pre-arranged schedule of activities. The exact details of each study tour will vary, however the activities will typically include briefing sessions on doing business in that particular country, academic lectures, industry visits and cultural tours. Prior to departure, the course will typically include a briefing session about the local country from an academic of the Griffith Asia Institute. At the end of the study tour students will return to Australia to complete their remaining coursework. Eligibility to enrol in this course is dependent upon approval from the MBA Director. Enrolment is by permission only. Repeat for credit is possible, however the course can be undertaken a total of twice only where possible in the student's MBA program, and the course must be travelling to a different country on each occasion Prerequisites: NIL Co-requisites: NIL Incompatibles: NIL This course is not offered in 2023.
