This dissertation course gives research students the opportunity to undertake a substantial piece of research work on a topic of interest and is a good preparation for the student to undertake higher research studies and other research endeavours. This course involves the execution of a research proposal, including experimentation and analysis of research results. It involves the preparation and presentation of a completed master degree thesis including research aims, hypotheses, significance, rationale, literature background, experimental design, methods, results, discussion and conclusions. Students may have developed research skills in the completion of pre-requisite research methodology courses with the view of undertaking a research topic in this course. Alternatively, a research project may be fully developed within the size and scope of the topic as part of this course. This course is a 40cp dissertation study. Course information and details are the same for each of the four course codes marked P1 to P4.
