This is a restricted course, available only to students enrolled in the Griffith Tertiary Preparation (GTP) program (9359). 9001HLS is designed to assist students gain acceptable levels of written academic English, verbal communication skills, as well as reading skills, to prepare students for tertiary study. After successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify the structure and language of academic texts, and produce short formal written texts. Successful completion of this course has been assessed as meeting the learning outcomes of four semesters of English at the level of Sound Achievement (4SA).
