UG Global Mobility Internship II (3003GBS)

This course offers Griffith students a unique opportunity to undertake a transformational work integrated learning (WIL) experience. You will be supported to undertake a full-time, unpaid internship with a company in Asia. Internship destinations are chosen to offer maximum exposure to the vibrant Asian economy in businesses, government offices, or not-for profit organisations that are innovators in their field. The program offers both in-country and remote (from home) global WIL experience in selected destinations. This course is part of the Griffith Asia Institute (GAI) initiative to offer meaningful Asia experiences to Griffith students; students are invited to be contributing members of the GAI community and experience the advantages of GAI networks throughout Asia. Students are matched with a placement that best aligns with their academic discipline and career aspirations and that advances student academic interests, experiential immersion, and vocational intentions with appropriate Asian connections. The aim of this course is to increase students' skills and experience in the workplace enhancing employability at the time of graduation. By the end of the course, we expect students to develop advanced skills in areas that are in high demand by employers, such as, problem solving, working in teams, critical analysis, time management, networking, and innovation. Thus individual reflection on personal attributes such as independence, curiosity, motivation and maturity is encouraged. All students applying for this course must meet minimum requirements and will be selected for the course in a competitive process. Prerequisites: A minimum GPA of 4.5 and 160 credit points (not available for credit based on prior studies or external studies). Co-requisites: NIL Incompatibles: 7007GBS Int Business Internship
