The productions included in the degree emulate professional productions, thereby providing students with authentic professional experiences.

To be classed as a full-time student, you are required to enrol in a minimum number of credit points each standard study period. The minimum credit points for full-time enrolment in this program is 30 credit points.

Work-integrated learning

While there are no designated work integrated learning courses, the productions included in the Musical Theatre coursework emulate professional productions, thereby providing students with authentic experiences of professional Musical Theatre activities.

My career opportunities

There is an identified shortage of professionally trained musical theatre performers throughout Australia. At the same time, there is an increasing number of musical theatre productions being toured throughout Australia and an increasing demand for musical theatre product.

As a graduate, you will have honed your skills in singing, acting and dancing, with a view to performing in cabaret, theatre, television, film and musical theatre, as well as more diverse entertainment mediums such as festivals, theme parks and cruises. There is endless variety in this broad area of entertainment. It is expected that graduates will write and produce their own work for public performance.
