About this program

In the Master of Cinematic Arts you will undertake research and practical work in your chosen discipline of Animation, Film/Screen Production or Games.

Studying at Griffith Film School with it's world class facilities of high-end equipment and studios, you will be well-equipped to work across a wide range of production settings that replicate industry practices. You will engage in research and professional development towards innovation and career acceleration in your chosen field, including studio projects supervised by discipline leads and where applicable, industry partners.

Throughout your program of study, you will produce creative works in collaboration with your peers and where applicable, with external partners and stakeholders. The scope of your practice-based work may include cross-disciplinary approaches as you explore new and emerging trends, platforms and media. You will be encouraged to challenge and refine your artistic and technical practices, to exchange ideas and perspectives and to be inspired to take your own pursuits to the next level.

There will be the opportunity to build industry connections through networking events, industry placements, artists-in-residence master classes and mentorship programs, as well as international and domestic study tours. You will be introduced to research methods that will deepen your understanding of your own practice, and inform your strategies and approaches as a professional practitioner.
