About this program
You will develop skills and knowledge in workplace counselling, psychological assessment, facilitation and consultancy, human resource management, program evaluation and training. If you are a practitioner and are currently working or wanting to work in public, private and community sector organisations in a range of developmental roles, this degree will suit you. This program is accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Attendance information
The Master of Organisational Psychology is offered full-time or part-time at the Mt Gravatt campus.
Students enrolling in the Master of Organisational Psychology are required to complete coursework, supervised placements and a research project.
Coursework: You are required to attend approximately 3-6 hours of scheduled classes per week.
Placements: 1000 hours of supervised work experience (conducted off-campus) is a component of this program.
Research Project: During your enrolment in the research component of this program, it is expected that you will be able to work independently for most of the time. The requirement for on-campus attendance is relatively flexible and unstructured. However, you will be required to meet regularly with your supervisor and it is recommended that you discuss the on-campus attendance requirements with your supervisor at the start of the Research Project.
Student Income Support
To be classed as a full-time student, you are required to enrol in a minimum number of credit points each standard study period. The minimum credit points for full-time enrolment in this program is 30 credit points.
Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 are deemed standard study periods. As Trimester 3 is a non-standard study period, continuing students moving from one year to the next will not be required to study during this trimester to be eligible for student income support.
Domestic students who commence in Trimester 3 may be eligible for student income support from the onset of study provided they are enrolled full-time in this study period.

Leave of absence
Students will require approval from the Master of Organisational Psychology Program Director or nominee from the School of Applied Psychology to take a leave of absence. The period of leave will normally not exceed one year.
Readmission
Students who have discontinued enrolment in the Master of Organisational Psychology and who are not on an approved leave of absence are required to seek approval for readmission to the program from the Head of School, School of Applied Psychology or nominee. Readmission to the program is not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Work-integrated learning
Work-integrated learning activities (professional placements) integrate theoretical learning with its application in the workplace. The inclusion of work-integrated learning activities in the degree program demonstrates Griffith's commitment to preparing its graduates for success in their working life.
In this program you will spend time in the work/professional environment undertaking placements at various locations. Placements may be outside of the Brisbane metropolitan/Gold Coast area including northern New South Wales and (by negotiation) interstate or overseas.

The Master of Organisational Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

The Psychology Board of Australia recognises graduates of this award for registration as a Psychologist.

There are placements associated with this program and before undertaking professional experience placements, all students in this program are required to have completed the following by the end of their first trimester of study:

The indicative annual tuition fee is calculated based on a standard full-time study load which is usually 80 credit points.

- Students are liable for tuition fees for the courses they are enrolled in as at the census date.

- The tuition fee for students who commence their program from 2014 onwards is charged according to the approved program fee for the trimester in which the student is enrolled.

This postgraduate program has Commonwealth Supported Places. If you are eligible, the Australian Government will contribute to the cost of this program but you will also be required to make a contribution.
Quotas are applied for admission to the Commonwealth Supported Places. Where demand exceeds the number of available places and all places have been filled for the current admission period, applicants who meet minimum program entry requirements may be eligible for a Fee-Paying Postgraduate place if such places are available. Please note that deferrals are not permitted for programs with Commonwealth Supported Places.
