This program will support you to engage equitably and effectively with Indigenous communities in regard to inter-professional and inter-cultural practice. You will be introduced to contemporary approaches to inter-professional and inter-cultural practice that have been developed by Indigenous community organisations and via collaborations with Indigenous community representatives and their allies. You will be supported to develop a greater awareness and understanding of the complex social, political and cultural dynamics at play in Australia as a result of both historic and current government and non-government attitudes and actions regarding Indigenous peoples and their communities.
This Graduate Certificate program is offered part-time only.
Some courses may be complemented by compulsory intensives (requiring short, intensive workshops on-campus) supported by online learning. Students are required to check the Course Catalogue to find out more information on where and when the courses are offered.
This Graduate Certificate supports graduates to engage in equitable and culturally safe practice when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and community-controlled organisations.
As a graduate of this degree, you will be eligible to apply for the Master of Human Services (5604).
The indicative annual tuition fee is calculated based on a standard full-time study load which is usually 80 credit points.
The indicative annual tuition fee is based on current conditions and available data and should only be used as a guide. These fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
If the fee rate for your program is not displayed above, please contact Student Connect for assistance.
If a postgraduate student changes to a different program they will be subject to the approved program fee for the trimester in which they are enrolled.
This postgraduate program has Commonwealth Supported Places. If you are eligible, the Australian Government will contribute to the cost of this program but you will also be required to make a contribution.
Quotas are applied for admission to the Commonwealth Supported Places. Where demand exceeds the number of available places and all places have been filled for the current admission period, applicants who meet minimum program entry requirements may be eligible for a Fee-Paying Postgraduate place if such places are available. Please note that deferrals are not permitted for programs with Commonwealth Supported Places.
