To be eligible for the award of Graduate Diploma of Law Research Studies (GDipLawResSt), a student must acquire 80 credit points as prescribed below:

  • gain 10 credit points for the research methods course;
  • gain 40 credit points for the listed law electives;
  • gain 30 credit points for the research dissertation.
Exit point

To apply to exit the Graduate Diploma of Law Research Studies program with the Graduate Certificate in Law Research Studies award, a student must acquire 40 credit points as prescribed below:

  • gain 10 credit points for the research methods course plus 30 credit points for the listed law electives;
  • OR gain 10 credit points for a listed law elective plus 30 credit points for the research dissertation;
  • OR gain 10 credit points for the Honours Research Methods (6001LAW) course if an equivalent course has not been previously completed plus 30 credit points for the research dissertation.

To exit, a student should apply for a program transfer.
