The Doctor of Philosophy is a time-based Higher Degree Research program requiring a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years full time study or a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of eight years part-time study. To be eligible for the award of Doctor of Philosophy, a student must complete a research project and submit a thesis of no longer than 100,000 words for assessment by two external examiners of international standing.
Completion of progress reporting requirements is a condition of continued candidature for higher degree research programs. The following progress review requirements must be completed for the Doctor of Philosophy program:
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. This qualification is accredited as an AQF Level 10 - Doctoral Degree.
