About this program

This pathway program will prepare you to transition into the Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Pharmaceutical Sciences is a dynamic and interdisciplinary field that aims to integrate fundamental principles of chemistry, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, and biology to understand how to design effective and safe pharmaceutical products. Pharmacology and Toxicology are two crucial areas of this field. You will study courses covering the basic enabling knowledge and skills in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. These courses will provide the foundations you need for higher study.

You will learn from experts in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, cell biology, and genetics in this pathway program. You will learn through extensive hands-on experience in state-of-the-art facilities and will have opportunities to meet industry experts in the pharmaceutical industry. 

Attendance information

The Diploma of Psychological Science is offered full-time and part-time on-campus.

As a full-time student you will generally attend 15-25 hours of scheduled classes per week throughout the trimester. Classes may be scheduled during the day and evening throughout the week.

Student Income Support

To be classed as a full-time student, you are required to enrol in a minimum number of credit points each standard study period. The minimum credit points for full-time enrolment in this program is 30 credit points.

Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 are deemed standard study periods. As Trimester 3 is a non-standard study period, continuing students moving from one year to the next will not be required to study during this trimester to be eligible for student income support.
