About this program

Start your journey to becoming an architect here.

Start your path towards an exciting career as an architect with our Bachelor of Architectural Design. You¿ll combine creativity with technical expertise, applying your skills while you learn through small group practice-led design studios, field trips, and industry placements with the option to complete up to 130 hours so you¿ll graduate with the experience and industry contacts to help launch your career.

What sets our architecture degrees apart is a distinctive emphasis on sustainable design, creative problem-solving and green technologies, so you¿ll be equipped to create architectural solutions that respond to the evolving challenges of our global community.

You will learn how to develop designs that meet aesthetic, functional and user needs now and into the future. Plus, in your third year, you will get hands-on experience when you complete a supervised industry-based design project.

Further, our connected alumni community, along with five star ratings for learner engagement and skills development from the Good Universities Guide 2023, means you¿re supported not only while you learn, but into the future.

The Bachelor of Architectural Design will set you on the path to a career as an architect, as it provides a stepping stone to our Master of Architecture degree.

Please refer to the Australian Government website for more details.

Work-integrated learning

Work-integrated learning activities integrate theoretical learning with its application in the workplace. The inclusion of work-integrated learning activities in this degree program demonstrates Griffith's commitment to preparing its graduates for success in their working life.

The second trimester of the third year of the program includes a compulsory industry focused project.
