Standard Program

For the award of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) [LLB (Hons)], you must successfully complete 240 credit points, made up of:

  • 240 credit points for the Core Module

Accelerated Pathway

For the award of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) [LLB (Hons)], you must successfully complete 240 credit points for the Core Module.

Other program requirements

You must successfully complete:

  • no more than 100 credit points of Level 1 courses (the first digit of a course code denotes the level);
  • at least 60 credit points of Level 3 courses or higher.

Classification of Honours

This degree with Honours may be awarded in the following classes:

  • Class I Honours
  • Class IIA Honours
  • Class IIB Honours
  • Class III Honours

The class of Honours to be awarded to each student in this degree will be determined on the basis of the Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by a student in all attempts at LAW core courses and core course options as outlined in the Dissertation Management Procedure.

The nominated courses are as follows:

  • 180 credit points of the LAW Core Module courses;
  • 60 credit points of the LAW Core Course Options.

Students achieving a GPA of less than 4.000 will be awarded an AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Laws.
