The Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) is a full-time or part-time program that has been designed to enable students who have demonstrated substantial ability at an undergraduate level to develop their practical expertise and theoretical understanding to a more advanced level.
While studying Visual Arts (Honours), you'll have the ability to work on a project that you're passionate about and have the space and access to studios and equipment to explore that further.
You'll be challenged and supported to excel by lecturers who are also leading visual artists. Learn your craft from practicing professionals who regularly hold exhibitions of their work and are represented on industry boards.
We're proud to deliver an outstanding education that supports our students in facing the future with confidence, competence and the knowledge and skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Visual arts guest lectures and masterclasses with visiting scholars and practising artists will inspire your creativity and increase your network. You'll have access to an exciting calendar of on-campus exhibitions and artist talks, as well as unique opportunities to exhibit and sell your work through our QCAD Galleries.
If you are an International student on a student visa, you must ensure that you enrol in a way that will allow you to complete your enrolment within the expected program duration as stated on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).
As a graduate of the Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), you'll be equipped for a career in the visual and creative arts, with potential positions ranging from professional artist and gallery director to curator, educator, government arts worker and creative consultant. The skills and knowledge you gain will prepare you to adapt and succeed in the expanding and changing landscape of the creative arts, and will also serve as the foundation for further studies in education, research or professional practice.
