About this program

This degree, designed for the most promising performers and music industry professionals in the country, will help you develop high-level skills in musical practice and research. You will receive advanced musical training and be encouraged to adopt a reflective professional practice. You will have opportunities for innovative research and creative accomplishment and learn in your working environment.

Attendance information

This program is available to Domestic and International students at the South Bank campus.

The program will be offered full-time or part-time to Griffith University students.

Attendance will be on-campus at QCGU South Bank campus.

The course Music Production and Presentation will be offered through blended learning approaches incorporating face-to-face contact and online tasks. Supervision will similarly take place through face-to-face sessions and on-line engagement.

Potential careers include solo performer, chamber musician, orchestral musician, music studio teacher, university lecturer, arts administrator. Students who successfully complete the Master of Music Research will be eligible to apply for entry to doctoral research programs.

Domestic research candidates

Domestic candidates who are admitted to this Higher Degree Research (HDR) program are exempt from tuition fees. Candidates will be provided a Commonwealth Government Research Training Program (RTP) Fee Offset supplemented by tuition fee support from Griffith University.
