To be eligible for the award of Master of Information Technology (MIT), a student must acquire 160 credit points as prescribed below:
To be eligible for the award of Master of Information Technology (MIT), a student admitted with 40 credit points of advanced standing must acquire 120 credit points as prescribed below:
# Based on evidence of courses completed in their undergraduate studies, students may apply to the Program Director for approval to substitute any IT foundation courses with non-foundation ICT courses (subject to meeting any pre-requisite requirements).
* Students must have completed 40 credit points of courses towards the Master of Information Technology (MIT) and have a GPA of at least 6.0 prior to enrolment in the Dissertation courses. Enrolment in the Dissertation courses requires pre-approval from the Program Director.
This degree may be awarded with Distinction where a student achieves a minimum program GPA of 6.5 with no failed courses. The words "This award was achieved with Distinction" will be recorded on the testamur.
To be eligible to exit the with the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology (GCertIT), a student must acquire 40 credit points as prescribed below:
IT foundation courses:
To exit, a student should apply for a program transfer.
Note: The Graduate Certificate exit point is not available to students admitted to the Masters program with advanced standing.
